i-NETT Legacy: Gold Star Foods Unified Communications Project

i-NETT, formerly Voice Smart Networks, published this legacy update to document a 2011 unified communications engagement with Gold Star Foods.

In 2011, Voice Smart Networks was selected by Gold Star Foods as its unified communications partner and technical advisor.

Headquartered in Ontario, California, Gold Star Foods served more than 300 school districts across the Southwest and required a communications environment built for reliability, scalability, and long-term cost control.

Voice Smart Networks was engaged to assess Gold Star Foods’ voice and data requirements and design a communications system aligned with operational and business goals. The engagement included deployment of an IP-based phone system using SIP connectivity and approximately 60 IP telephones.

According to Gold Star Foods’ IT leadership at the time, the migration was completed without disruption to daily operations.

Beyond deployment, Voice Smart Networks served in an ongoing advisory role, helping ensure the communications platform supported service continuity, operational efficiency, and future growth.

This engagement reflected Voice Smart Networks’ focus on structured communications management, performance accountability, and long-term planning. Those same principles continue today through i-NETT’s Cloud & Communications and IT Support Services.
